Can you tell us about your studies?
I am a medical doctor who specialises in physical and medical rehabilitation studies and sub-specialises in paediatrics.
What is your profession?
I am an attending physiatrist in the Paediatric Rehabilitation Division, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department, Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo National General Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia.
How did you come to know ISICO?
I got to know ISICO directly through their monthly dissemination via email.
Why did you register for the ISICO courses?
I attended the scoliosis online master course, and I am really satisfied. It was a very interesting course, and what drew me to it were the experts who gave the lectures who are well known in their field of study.
What makes this course different from other educational courses and masters programmes?
The teachers who are well known in the world through their involvement in journal publications and guidelines formulation The development of new methods on assessing, diagnosing and treating scoliosis, especially in the topic of spinal brace. The course is scaled internationally and the students who participated are from around the world.
Are you satisfied with what you have learned?
Very satisfied, yes.
If you were asked to recommend the course, what would you say?
It was a superb experience, I witnessed an advanced data collection system when it comes to assessing scoliosis patients. A direct and real-time communication between digital health record and the assessment tools portrays the patient’s condition from the beginning until the end, clinically or radiologically.
This system helps depict the patient comprehensively, which is an astounding sight to see experts directly do the assessment. It is an experience like no other. Experienced good teamwork between doctors, physiotherapists, orthotists, and prosthetists. I learned a lot regarding the spinal brace, which is also an excellent way to assess scoliotic patients.
